Spinifex Brewing Co Heads East: Meet Brett Harvey, Our South Australian Sales Representative 🍻

We’re excited to share a major milestone in the Spinifex Brewing Co journey—As we recommence our Eastern States rollout beginning with South Australia and the Northern Territory.

With the recent partnership announcement with Adelaide based APOD giving Australia Wide access to our packaged products via delivery to serving and past ADF personnel and family  members, Brett will focus his efforts towards On Premise sales allowing South Australian supporters of Spinifex to grab a fresh pint in your local establishment or RSL Sub Branch.  

This expansion East marks the start of the next chapter in our mission following the outstanding success of our Hospitality venue in Broome and our transition to a new Core Range that is receiving exceptional feedback, with quarterly limited releases as well as the launch of our incredible Pre-Mix Vodka Spritz range DUNES, now is the time to relaunch just in time for the summer season.

We are equally as excited to announce our launch venue the Para Hills Community Club “Bringing people together since 1966”

The Para Hills Community Club was formed in 1966 after intensive research by the Para Hills Progress Association determined there was a need for a complete centre for social, sporting, and cultural activities in Para Hills and the surrounding areas.

On 14 June 1969, The Para Hills Community Club was officially opened and would soon become a cornerstone of the local area, serving as a gathering place and social hub for generations.

Our incredibly successful 5% Hazy Pale will be hitting the taps soon. Brett will be handing out tastings, and you will have a chance to win some great prizes.   

A Life of Service, A Passion for Storytelling

Brett joins us as our South Australian Sales Representative, bringing with him a lifetime of dedication, courage, and community service. His journey began in 1996 with the Australian Army as an Air Dispatcher, later serving in the elite 3RAR Parachute Battalion. He was deployed to East Timor in support of the country’s independence—an early testament to his commitment and resilience.

In 2001, Brett transitioned to the Royal Australian Air Force as a firefighter, where he played a pivotal role in the recovery efforts following the tragic Sea King helicopter crash in Aceh, Indonesia. Since 2005, he has continued his service with the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service, protecting and supporting his community every day.

From the Frontline to the Tap Line

Beyond his distinguished career, Brett is a passionate advocate for craft beer and the stories it tells. His appreciation for quality brewing and authentic storytelling makes him a natural fit for Spinifex Brewery. With integrity, experience, and genuine enthusiasm, Brett is ready to introduce South Australians to our Brand-new range of beers as well as the soon to be launched DUNES RTD Range. Brett also has his own wine range Smoke Eaters Wine sourced from premium South Australian Vineyards.
