Spinifex Brewery Cable Beach is proud to be a major sponsor for the wrap dinner for the Kimberley 9s Carnival, an annual AFL event held on the beach by the Purple Hands Foundation. This special dinner will occur on the final evening of the carnival and is dedicated to thanking all the incredible sponsors and stakeholders who played a crucial role in making this impactful event happen.
The Purple Hands Foundation was established by the Fremantle Dockers as an extension of their strong community values, aiming to make a difference off the football field. The Foundation’s mission is to harness the spirit of community to address key social issues affecting young people, particularly those at risk or facing disadvantage in regional and remote communities. Through their programs, the Foundation provides critical support to young people from low socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring they have opportunities to grow, thrive, and succeed.
The Kimberley 9s Carnival is part of the Purple Hands Foundation’s Kimberley Connected program—a year-round youth engagement initiative designed for primary and secondary school students in the region. Kimberley Connected focuses on encouraging regular school attendance and positive behavior, both in and out of the classroom. Throughout the year, students who demonstrate these qualities participate in engaging workshops and activities, promoting personal development and community involvement. As a reward for their dedication and positive behavior, selected students are given the opportunity to participate in the Kimberley 9s Carnival, held during Term 4.
At Spinifex Brewery Cable Beach, we believe in the power of community and through our sponsorship of the wrap dinner we’re able to show our support for the Purple Hands Foundation and the incredible work they do in our Kimberley community.
