It’s been a really BIG year for our incredible team at Zookeepers, and it’s only become bigger with our Head Chef Igor and his team, taking out the revered Willie Creek Pearl Meat Cook Off crown.

The theme for this year’s competition was Yawuru Six Seasons and Igor’s creation featured a variety of fresh and local flavours including quandong, lemon, anise and cinnamon myrtle, mango and finger limes.
The judging panel, headed by Masterchef’s Khanh Ong praised Igor and his team for ensuring the pearl meat remained the hero of the dish, with flavours and textures with flavours and textures enhancing its natural qualities.

The event was also enhanced by tasting of Spinifex Brewing Co products which complimented the beautiful flavours showcased at the Cook-Off.
