It is no secret that Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co. has quickly become one of Broome’s best-kept secrets. Fresh off the bat from delivering the famous Shinju Matsuri Long Table Dinner on Cable Beach and their win at the Willie Creek Pearl Meat Cook-Off, the incredible team at Zookeepers have delivered yet another, home run!
The Broome Chilli Festival, a well-loved Broome event added an extra day to their festival this year. In partnership with the Broome Tramway Co, The Gourmet Chilli Trail was a chilli-inspired whistlestop tour of some of Broome’s best venues, which of course, included the award-winning Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co. This year, the festival-goers had their taste buds set ablaze by the mouthwatering creations on display by an impressive list of local venues including The Bali Hai Cafe, The Aarli, Matso’s Brewery and of course Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co. Among the culinary champions, one standout dish stole the show and captured the hearts of spice enthusiasts far and wide.
Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co’s wild-caught barramundi wings, marinated in chipotle seasoning and served with red Thai curry, Asian slaw, and nouc cham dressing, not to mention their delectable dessert of coconut pannacotta topped with chilli native bush syrup left a lasting impression on the guest and took out the inaugural, People’s Choice Award!
What’s more, it was all perfectly washed down with Spinifex Brewing Co.’s Ginger Beer-infused homemade bush chilli syrup, creating a culinary experience like no other.
While Zookeepers may only be open until the end of the season, you can bet that the food and beverage experience at the new Spinifex Cable Beach Brewery (opening soon) will continue to delight locals and tourists alike.
